Street / hip hop
Street Dance is a mixture of various dance styles such as Hip Hop, Freestyle and Modern Pop Styles and is very popular with the youth culture of today. This dance style has been influenced by artists such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue and Nelly Fertado. During class, students will learn dance routines and will opportunities to create their own movements.
Attire – gym wear, comfortable (preferably baggy) clothing, and trainers.
No childrens classes running at present.
Irish Dancing
Basic footwork, gradually building upon technique and working towards competitions. Beginners reel, slip jig, single jig, light jig, treble jig, hornpipe and set dances taught to traditional Irish music.
Attire – shorts, leggings, jogging bottoms with t-shirt. Pumps and heavy shoes required. For competition, dance costumes will be required.
